Chef Al realized his passion to create and serve exquisite meals early in life. Born & raised in the Gates-Chili area, Chef Al has been serving the Monroe County area with great meals for over 20 years. After graduating from Gates-Chili High School, Chef Al went on to gain a Culinary Degree from world-class Johnson & Wales Culinary University. After mastering his culinary skills at the Mirage in Las Vegas, Chef Al returned home. Since his return to Rochester, Chef Al has developed a sort of iconic following. After working at several well known, high profile restaurants in the area, Chef Al is proud to co-own Calabria ….. A fusion of old world Italian Restorante fine dining with the everyday casual nature of a bistro.
